Verbier Bike Festival – 2025 Edition

RULES AND GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

  1. Registration

    1. Your registration is considered valid upon receipt of payment and the confirmation email generated by the website.

    2. All registrations for the Verbier Bike Festival imply acceptance of these rules and regulations as well as the rules posted at the start or finish of each outdoor activity or event (rides, tests, competitions, activities, or challenges).

    3. The Festival offers bike rides as well as timed events.

    4. E-bike activities are open to:

      1. from 14 years of age with a moped license

      2. from 16 years of age without a license (parental authorization required for minors)

    5. The purchase and withdrawal of a registration can only be made by an adult (18 years of age or older).

  2. Conditions for purchasing a registration

    1. All registrations must be made via the website www.verbierbikefestival.com.

    2. On-site registration is possible, subject to availability.

    3. Participants must collect their registration documents from the dedicated area at the festival.

  3. Payment conditions

    1. Anyone booking for others is jointly and severally liable for full payment.

    2. Full payment is required to confirm registration.

    3. Accepted payment methods: Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard, American Express. Checks, money orders, and bank transfers are not accepted.

  4. Changes by the organization

    1. The organization reserves the right to make changes to these rules without notice.

  5. Changes to registration

    1. Changes will be accepted on an exceptional basis up to 21 days before the event, upon written request accompanied by supporting documents.

    2. No registration exchanges are permitted.

    3. No changes will be accepted on site on the day of the event.

  6. Transfer of registration

    1. The transfer must be notified no later than 21 days before the event, by email to info@verbierbikefestival.com.

    2. The transferor and the replacement remain jointly and severally liable for the costs.

  7. Cancellation & refund

    1. No cancellation entitles the participant to a refund, unless otherwise decided by the organization or in cases of recognized force majeure.

  8. Test conditions

    1. Testers are required to take care of the equipment loaned to them.

    2. In the event of damage or loss, they undertake to reimburse or replace the equipment with identical equipment at their own expense.

    3. In the event of a malfunction, testers must immediately stop using the equipment and alert the brand representative.

  9. Use of the trails

    1. The test trails are strictly reserved for people registered for the Bike Test.

    2. The Organization may modify the trails without notice.

    3. The Organizer declines all responsibility in the event of malfunction or closure of the ski lifts.

    4. In the event of adverse weather conditions, access may be blocked or an event canceled.

  10. Insurance

    1. Accident and civil liability insurance is mandatory.

    2. Rescue and medical expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

    3. The Organizer declines all responsibility in the event of loss, theft, or damage to equipment.

  11. Safety rules

    1. Hard shell mountain bike helmet: mandatory

    2. Gloves: mandatory

    3. Goggles: recommended

    4. Bosch E-MTB Challenge: full protective gear recommended

    5. Repair kit: mandatory for the Bosch E-MTB Challenge

    6. Follow traffic laws and exercise caution on the trails

    7. Bring warm clothing and rain gear

  12. Behavior

    1. Follow the organizer's instructions and report any withdrawals.

    2. Participants must follow the instructions of staff and volunteers.

  13. Participation in events

    1. Participants agree to:

      1. attend briefings

      2. use a bike in perfect condition

      3. respect the markings, the environment, safety instructions, and traffic regulations

      4. keep their trash and use the recycling bins

  14. Indemnification

    1. Participants agree to release the Organizer and its partners from any liability in the event of damage caused to others or their property.

  15. Image rights

    1. Participants authorize the free use of their image on all media related to the event, including promotional materials.

    2. A passport photo will be taken when you collect your registration and will be accessible in your personal space.

  16. Acceptance of risks

    1. Participants acknowledge:

      1. the risky nature of the activity

      2. that they are participating at their own risk

      3. that they are in good physical condition

      4. that they are not undergoing any treatment that affects their abilities

      5. not being pregnant or in the immediate postpartum period

      6. not suffering from heart or joint problems

      7. following instructions and using equipment correctly.

  17. Disclaimer

    1. By participating, you waive any right to take legal action against the Organization and its partners for any damage suffered, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct. This waiver applies to you, your heirs, and your beneficiaries. You agree to comply with the health regulations in force. The Organizer declines all responsibility in the event of contamination by a third party during the event.
